EMV PARTNERS UPDATE

The funding programme for helping third sector organisations and start up enterprise is celebrating its first month in style as over 12 organisations have benefitted from matched funding exceeding £15,000 from a number of suppliers including Sugarcane. A portfolio of work will soon be added to www.emvouchers.co.uk so you can see the difference the project is making to organisations across Yorkshire and the Humber. Join the sofa and the Sugarcane team for our very own gig on Friday 21st May from 7pm at the Riverside pub, Mowbray Street, Sheffield.  The Penny Lovers will be performing some Yorkshire tinged Americana on the Sugarcane sofa. Look closely and you may see our Creative Director behind the skins. Bring along your friends and colleagues for a few beers and start the weekend off with some fun! SOFA SUMMER TOUR

The famous Sugarcane sofa is set to go on its summer tour and has a whole host of exciting locations it will be visiting this year. As well as the usual client photos on the sofa we will be visiting locations throughout the UK.  A very excited Martin Abonyi said “I am very excited indeed”.  He went on to say “We’re off paintballing, mountain climbing, sightseeing and sunbathing on the beach, it’s going to be a great summer which should see the sofa get a good tan”.  Oh and did we mention that we’re hoping to cycle around Sheffield on it with Get Cycling http://www.getcycling.org.uk/index.php.

RAISING MONEY FOR A WORTHY CAUSE

Christine Dickinson from LINkrotherham has recently been successfully treated for a form of Lymphoma and her daughter Helen and son in law Ste have recently completed the Sheffield half marathon to raise money for the Lymphoma Association.  They have raised £817 to date, but it’s not too late to support them.  If you can support this great cause visit www.justgiving.com/helenandste to donate.

There’s a baby boom occurring at Sugarcane with both Louise and Martin (and their spouses!) expecting new arrivals in October and   November respectively!  The baby bumps are coming along nicely and we wish them both many congratulations!!
